Catherine Simpson, RPP, MCIP leads Jacobs’ Canadian asset management and climate resilience practice, with a health-centered mandate. Currently based out of Toronto, she has worked across the country with a wide range of municipal, healthcare, and non-profit organizations to support decision-makers and leaders as they strengthen their ability to manage critical infrastructure assets.
With over 20 years of experience, she has authored industry leading toolkits, training material, and guidance documents for integrating asset management principles from strategic planning through to day-to-day decision-making. Catherine often facilitates workshops and executive-level discussions for councils, boards, senior leadership teams, and advisory committees, guiding critical infrastructure investment and policy decisions.
Catherine is an Institute of Asset Management endorsed trainer delivering Jacobs’ ISO 55000 aligned Infrastructure Asset Management Training Program to individuals and organizations across North America. She is an active contributor to the asset management profession, serving in roles such as the CSA technical committee that developed TS506: Asset & Climate Risk in Northern Communities, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Municipal Asset Management Program Technical Working Group throughout its eight-year mandate, and is past Chair of AMONTario’s Climate Change and Asset Management Committee.
