Essential topics for new leaders
ALP offers a comprehensive curriculum that introduces all of the core concepts you’ll encounter as a new LTC administrator, ranging from communications and strategy, legal and compliance matters, to HR, operations, QI, and fiscal oversight.
Meets MLTC Requirements
ALP meets the Ministry of Long-Term Care requirements for administrators of 100 hours of instruction time in long-term care home administration/management under the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021.
Verifiable Digital Credential
Graduates receive a verifiable digital credential that can be shared on LinkedIn and easily validated by third parties, including employers and Ministry inspectors.

One-hour virtual orientation to meet your instructors, connect with fellow participants, and receive an overview of the program expectations, workload, and responsibilities.
Two-day, in-person Leadership Foundations Forum featuring dynamic presentations, hands-on learning activities, and meaningful networking opportunities with instructors and peers.
Ten live, online training sessions covering the seven vital competencies of long-term care leaders, from strategic thinking and communication to HR and financial literacy.
Students will be assigned to groups at the outset of the program and will work collaboratively to complete a group case study assignment.
All students will take part in a live, online presentation day, during which each group will present their case study and explain how they’ve solved the challenges presented.
