What to expect from the LTC Management Training Program
The AdvantAge Ontario Long-Term Care Management Training Program is a capacity-building course for new and experienced LTC and seniors’ housing managers.
Leadership Foundations Retreat
This two-day, in-person retreat introduces core leadership principles and sets the foundation for success throughout the program. You’ll meet your fellow ALP students, connect face-to-fact with your instructors, and enjoy an immersive leadership learning experience covering topics ranging from personal growth and development to team building and networking.
One-On-One Coaching
Each participant is paired with an experienced consultant for two coaching sessions, which create a safe place for participants to reflect and ask questions related to their unique challenges and professional development.
The Manager Mindset
A senior leader at AdvantAge Ontario provides a comprehensive overview of the state of long-term care and seniors’ housing in Ontario, followed by an introduction to the key skills that managers need to succeed.
Effective Communications
Participants explore a manager’s role in communicating both within a team and across an organization, with a focus on ensuring that messages are not only shared but also received.
Expectations and Delegation
High-performing managers know how to delegate. Explore effective strategies for communicating expectations and delegating to enhance team efficiency and lead staff toward greater independence.
Motivation and Engagement
Discover how to effectively identify and leverage motivational factors to boost employee engagement and performance in long-term care and seniors’ housing organizations.
Coffee House Sessions
These popular gatherings offer a relaxed atmosphere for facilitated group discussions, where all participants learn from each other, build confidence, strengthen leadership and management skills, and talk shop.
