Leadership Foundations Retreat
Leadership Foundations Forum
This two-day, in-person forum introduces core leadership principles and sets the foundation for success throughout the program. You’ll meet your fellow ALP students, connect face-to-face with your instructors, and enjoy an immersive leadership learning experience covering topics ranging from personal growth and development to team building and networking.
Module 1: Strategic and Integrative Thinking
Strong leaders have the ability to think strategically and integrate diverse perspectives. In this module, you’ll learn to think about the big picture, connect your organization’s vision and mission to daily decision-making, and lead change effectively in a complex, regulated environment.
Module 2: Effective Communications
Module 3: Legislative and Legal Matters
Module 4: LTC Financial Literacy
In this segment you’ll get a practical overview of the financial frameworks that govern long-term care operations in Ontario. You’ll learn how to read and interpret financial reports, how to budget, and how to measure financial performance. You’ll also learn how long-term care is funded in Ontario, and how to meet ministry reporting requirements.
